In 1976 richt hij met bassist #JamesJamerson R&B groep #Chanson op waarmee ze één hit scoren in 1978, Don't Hold Back.
Ondertussen valt hij in het oog van #MichaelJackson en begint hij te werken als sessiemuzikant aan het album #OfTheWall. Vanaf dan is hij betrokken bij elk album van #Thriller tot #Dangerous.
En ook bij alle albums van #TheJacksons vanaf #Destiny tot #Victory.

David Williams groeit op in Virginia en begint te zingen in het kerkkoor en terwijl krijgt hij gitaar akkoorden aangeleerd.
Daarop leert hij zichzelf op gevoel zelf gitaar spelen.
In 1968 op 18 jarige leeftijd speelt hij als sessiemuzikant en livemuzikant bij #TheDells, die een hit hadden gescoord met What a night.
Dan wordt hij opgeroepen voor Vietnam, en pas in 1972 kan hij zijn pad
