Soie by Angélique Boissière. I've been following Angélique's work on Instagram ever since I arrived in Nantes and found out she was local. I finally managed to meet her and buy her book Soie (Silk) off her. It's a superb collection of portraits, for lack of a better word, all done in black and white and on medium-format film cameras. This conveys both a unity and an incredible delicacy to her gallery of images. All the subjects are women, and while there are many nudes, these are clearly not thought of as erotic or arousing, but rather as natural in the sense that they are environmental portraits, with often a lot of dynamism in the images. The title "soie" is very apt, because it evokes this smooth, pleasant sensation of a hand on silk or on soft skin, and flicking through the pages of the book you can't help but feel a bit of that sensation rubbing off you.

*ATELIER CYANOTYPE LE 28 MAI*

Apprenez à faire des cyanotypes: c'est facile, pas cher, amusant, créatif, et ça peut se faire avec des enfants. Ce dimanche 28 Mai de 14-17h au Labo Diva je vous apprends à faire des cyanotypes. Au programme de l'après-midi:
- un petit historique de ce procédé photographique
- une démonstration de A à Z (ou presque) de la production d'une des mes images cyanotypée
- une activité photogramme qui vous permettra de créer votre propre oeuvre d'art (en utilisant des feuilles, tiges, herbes et autres plantes pour créer des silhouettes blanches et bleues.)
- vous pourrez me poser toutes les questions que vous souhaitez sur le procédé.

Une participation aux frais de 10 EUR sera demandée. L'inscription préalable est obligatoire soit via Facebook, Instagram ou sur place au Labo Diva (en journée jusqu'à Vendredi).
