Interesting interpretation of #TitusAndronicus at #TheGlobeTheatre - TA and Aaron the Moor were standout performances. Lavinia / Tamara were pretty good. The two sons were wholly unconvincing.

An all female cast, while bold, didn't quite work for me. Felt like it was trying to be something it isn't. Death and gore represented by snuffing of candles, then mutilated by blenders, blowtorches, shears etc, was a bit school-play which laboured on a bit.

Off to Londinium for the day.

Being treated to a bit of #Shakespeare at #TheGlobeTheatre (...well, the smaller, intimate, candlelit Sam Wanamaker Theatre at The Globe) for #TitusAndronicus ... which any gentleman of distinction (like wot I is) will know inside out as Shakespeare's most bloodthirsty tale of revenge.

Modern interpretation with an all female cast with mixed critic reviews will make it an interesting experience.
