Watching the first several series of #TheGreatPotteryThrowDown, it’s been clear that the producers wanted to use 60s UK classic rock, but couldn’t afford it. Lots of non-infringing soundalikes instead.

That changed with this year’s series. Actual rock, from actual boomers! In episode 7, with the contestants making animals, there’s the Kinks’ “Animal Farm” plucking away in the background.
