Thanks to #TheIncomparable for reminding me to go read The Golden Enclaves (third book in Naomi Novik’s Scholomance series). Novik does an amazing job of writing a transparent metaphor that instead of being eye-rolling is eye-opening. Not sure how the book’s solutions to the metaphorical threat can apply to our capitalist, racist, patriarchal real-world issues, but it’s definitely food for thought.

@ChaskaTheMagicDog I wonder if suggesting that they listen to an actual play podcast or YouTube video might help some of them? Although I am a #ttrpg gamer from way back, it did help me get into the swing of #5e when I joined a new group a while back. But I’d avoid the more famous or long-running ones. If I can plug one of my faves, look into Total Party Kill on #TheIncomparable network. Season 19 was a series of short, low-level adventures some involving brand new players.

I’m personally a fan of just about everything on #TheIncomparable podcast network though this past couple weeks I’ve been binging the incredibly insightful #StarTrek podcast #EnterpriseIncidents with Scott & Steve.
I also love listening to entertaining/informative #Science and #History podcasts. A current fave is #YoureDeadToMe

Personally I’m a fan of just about everything on #TheIncomparable network, but I’ve lately been binging the amazingly insightful #StarTrek podcast #EnterpriseIncidents with Scott & Steve. (It’s not as though I have time to start a new one just now but recommendations are always appreciated.)
