It had been some time since we last visited The Kelpies and Helix Park in Falkirk. So we had a wee trip out there today. I have to say that Andy Scott’s sculptures never fail to impress, no matter how many times you’ve seen them.

Duke and Baron. The wonderful sculptures by Andy Scott at the Falkirk Wheel. Based on two Clydesdale Horses that pulled barges along the Forth and Clyde canals for many years, they stand proud beside the M9 and are tower over visitors in the canal basin.

We based our work around the #canals and our #volunteers do the #lockkeeping on the #forthandclydecanal from Lock 3 #thekelpies to lock 20. We are proud to be part of keeping the canals Alive! We also have a #narrowboat that we hire out and use for training and #community trips.
We recently opened a community #making and #mending space, offering #woodwork and #woodart, #bikerepair, #sewing, #crafting #photography
