My sister recently told me that when my nephew was single digit years old if she didn't do something with her iphone, when they got in the car it would just start at the beginning - which was some Peaches or Khia super dirty song.

When I despair for the state of our country
and the power wielded by religious nut cases
I think of my kids, and how they have reminded me on more than one occasion
Young people don't think like us old folks do
For one thing, they say their peers don't have our hang ups regarding sexual preference and expression
and this gives me hope

Gave a version of my #history of #pizza in southern #Ontario lecture today to a 10th-grade class. When I asked, they absolutely nailed the date when the first pizzeria opened in #Mississauga (the early 60s). This question always stumps my undergrads. #TheKidsAreAlright
