Before he became enthralled with Ice Station Zebra in his later years, he was known to have watched the Killers several times a day. Some Hemingway trivia for a Hemingway film: about three years after Ernest’s suicide, a 27-year-old Hunter S. Thompson headed out to the Ketchum, Idaho estate, where the author killed himself. In typical Gonzo souvenir shopping style, Thompson stole a set of elk antlers from the literary giant’s house. Thompson’s widow, Anita returned the antlers in 2016.
