Every time I looked in the mirror I would see ghastly deep frown lines above my lips that no amount of moisturiser would reduce.😫. This week I had a brain wave every time I look in the mirror I smile at my reflection. The horrid lines are barely visible, Plus it has boosted my self esteem, I have been feeling happier all day and smiling more at other people too. OK so I see more crinkles around my eyes but they are far easier to live with. #selfcare #selfesteem #thelittlethings

@LadyParadis Just saw a post from this lovely person where she was thanking the wonderful people who take time to post about their day, replying and posting in a pleasant and caring way.... What an awesome description of life here on #mastodon, particularly if you're coming from that other place.

It reminds me of something that happened when we moved from a metropolitan city in Wisconsin and into a much smaller town in Virginia. Very early on, we realized that complete strangers were waving at us as we drove by. Not flipping us off as they usually do in the big city (an exaggeration!), but it was still a remarkable difference in culture & friendliness. And a welcome change!

That is just how I feel about Mastodon. I'm seeing more and more people commenting about how much more "social" Mastodon is than the other place (or any other social media, actually) and it gives me hope that I'm not just in a honeymoon phase -- but that that this truly is a way of life on Mastodon!

I love having RGB #leds installed in my #3DPrinter cabinet. Changing the colour can make a print look really cool (a bright green filament I have looks like glowing uranium glass when I set the LEDs to blue).

The effect is of course completely impossible to catch on a simple phone camera, so you'll just have to use your imagination.
