It's building a complex story where it's not clear if anybody is a good person. I love the language of the flowers, reminiscent of Kate Greenaway, but including Australian varieties too. Of course #SigourneyWeaver is excellent as she has been since #Alien, at least. Bonus: Bobbie from #TheExpanse is in it! With blue and black hair! Chef's kiss. 🌻🌺🏵️💠

I decided to give up on the show when the sheriff’s wife reveals that Clem was Gemma’s father 🙄
Then I read the synopsis of the novel, and I’m so glad I didn’t waste more time on this! It looks beautiful, but it's everything I hate in storytelling.

Looks great, has an interesting cast, but why, oh why does everything have to be told like a mystery these days? So far the story is told purely in chronological order, but you just know that there will be flashbacks to fill in the backstory.
More often than not the "mystery" isn't worth the trouble. I will keep watching, but I'm wary.
