Most of the audience have no idea who the singers are without the masks. Certainly my kids have no idea who Nicole from All Saints or Charlie from Busted is. And I know who Ricky Wilson is, but I’m not going to recognise his voice when he sings swing numbers.
It’s basically karaoke Through The Keyhole. But it makes sense if you consider that the costumes are the whole point. #TheMaskedSinger
