It struck me as a schmaltzy book that shallow readers would imagine is deep and meaningful and therefore they ought to enjoy it. It dragged on and on, spelling out what I should think about the experiences of a character I grew to detest. I wrote a review calling it a “total Albomination” (after Mitch Albom) and Amazon rejected it.

Managed to finish these two books and it's not even halfway through January yet even though it did take me a while to get through The Midnight Library I still enjoyed it and it was the second time I've read Midnight Sun but I enjoyed it more this time around.
