Oof, just started reading #TheMinistryForTheFuture. I haven't read Kim Stanley Robinson in years. In my 20's, his Mars trilogy was so hopeful. Now, as an adult with kids who have to live in the future we are creating, the opening of this book just hurts, like November 2016 level painful.

Completed reading of #TheMinistryForTheFuture by #KimStanleyRobinson - found it very well written but ultimately widely over-optimistic (and thus not realistic). Still, good food for thought.

I just finished #TheMinistryForTheFuture by Kim Stanley Robinson and really liked it! I'd recommend it to anyone interested in #solarpunk concepts that aren't too far removed from the present.

The book is a collection of different perspectives on projects lessening impacts of climate change and steering towards a better future, following the Paris Agreement. The method of story telling took some getting used to, but was overall effective and interesting!
