Talk about Foundation, and just remembered the size of #TheMule’s nose, and I kid you not. I think I may be The Mule.😂

I mean, my whole life people made fun of my nose-they still do, and I turned out okay. Or so I say. Trauma is trauma, folks, and it doesn't care whether you're wealthy or poor. It gets you just the same. 🤷‍♀️

I first saw this film as a kid and it scared the shit out of me. I have scenes from it burned indelibly in my brain.

It is genuinely creepy and the score supports that perfectly. And the special FX are FREAKY!

Thanks for recommending #TheMule. I did start watching, it looked gloomy and on that day I wasn't ready for gloomy so I indulged my mental laziness & stopped. I will go back now and watch it.

#ClintEastwood just can't act badly, can he? He was already good in the #Rawhide TV series, some 60 years before The Mule. Uniquely present in each film stage, though I'll pass over the ugly Dirty Harry phase. The late Clint is in a league of his own. "#Unforgiven" is so deep and so good.

I recommend #TheMule with #ClintEastwood (also Bradley Cooper and Michael Peño and even Andy Garcia but it's almost all Clint!). Currently free to watch on UK BBC #iPlayer (irritating though it is).

Another flawed elderly man reflecting on mistakes and regrets and finding an unlikely means for #redemption.

Similar themes but not a repeat of #GranTorino. Really well done, especially for us late bloomers. #movies #men #fatherhood
