#DirkBogarde & #CharlotteRampling, #TheNightPorter (1974) - saw this first WAY too young & understood pretty much nothing about what I was seeing except those bits your bones understand & you don’t realise until it’s already too late.

Finally saw the '70s #NewHollywood #Nazi #erotic #thriller #TheNightPorter, which was pretty good; but in a post #MeToo world, I don't think you could even book this at a retro film festival without facing an angry boycott, even though it was directed by #firstwave #feminist #LilianaCavani.
