#NowWatching #Horror #HorrorMovie #TheOffering I’m always interested in learning other culture’s mythology and evil spirits, so it was an interesting watch in that regard. The story itself was so-so. Nothing really new in terms of expectations or scares. Not a bad watch, but I wouldn’t have paid $7 for it.

while the design of the sheyda was very creepy and interesting, I do have questions. I distinctly remember that sheydim leave footprints like a chicken walking backward? I can't remember all the other descriptions that #ThrowingSheyd mentioned, but I do remember that one

anyway, I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone, so, if you can tolerate horror, you should watch #TheOffering. it was good! and scary!!!

welp, I finally watched #TheOffering

so, I don't consume a lot of #horror. I may regret starting it around midnight, not bc I'm worried about nightmares (I don't remember my dreams), but bc my heart rate isn't going to slow for the next two hours 😅

honestly though, it was good. I could have done with fewer jump scares (Link might have stayed on my lap), but it was really nice seeing #Jewish symbolism and hearing Hebrew prayers

¿Inventa la rueda? No. Pero #LaOfrenda #TheOffering, de #OliverParker, recurre a los mitos culturales (y a la atmosfera que produce por sí sola la trama de la religión) para atraer al espectador, con buena ambientación (con la que se podría haber jugado más, todo sea dicho, que tiene hasta morgue) y un terror más de monstruo de cuento (oscuro) que de puro terror.
Os recordará a cierta saga.

Watched the newly released orthodox #Jewish themed #horrormovie #TheOffering tonight and while it wasn't a classic or anything it was pretty fun and well made. Interesting characters, storyline, and plot without trying to be overly highbrow on the horror side.
