@theresmiling I'm rewatching #TheOrville episode, "The Blood of Patriots," and I remembered us chatting about this. Overcoming revenge and working out a method of peace is pretty much the focus of the entire episode. Not sure if you have seen The Orville, but it is a good show. Totally steals from Star Trek, like, constantly (the first two seasons at least), but if you understand that is intentional, as a love letter to Trek, then you can get into it.

Only #TheOrville could make Moclan pee so heartwarming.

Rewatching “New Dimensions.” My favorite episode from the first two seasons of #TheOrville. The flat environs. Ed deciding he wants Kelly back. John earning a command post. So much happens in this episode. Even a literary reference!

Rewatching “About A Girl.” Bortus’s transformation from seeing the value in women by watching Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer to the absolute seriousness of an operation in season three and Bortus’s willing to do anything for her is just a remarkable journey. I still don’t trust Klyden. I don’t care how season three ended. Klyden is probably working for his government. #TheOrville #theorvillenewhorizons #orville

It's one of my favorite #StarTrek series but it's not StarTrek lol I love also #StrangeNewWorlds because it's also episodic (like Orville and older StarTreks)

I think I'm more into the social issues that are presented in those series and probably Orville did the best job so far. I also love DS9 more than the other StarTreks because of that

Waw. L'éloge funéraire par le robot réussit super bien son pathos. Bien sûr, c'est aussi parce que la séquence a été construite par le reste de la saison, mais c'est quand même assez finement écrit pour obtenir cet effet.

Alara Kitan looked much better with eyebrows, unlike how #TheOrville started. Too bad Seth MacFarlane couldn’t keep his penis in his pants with a woman almost 20 years younger than him. Then Halston Sage wouldn’t have left the show. Seth is a total prick.

There is a dinner scene in #TheOrville episode “Mad Idolatry” where Mercer jokingly tells Kelly “afterwards I’ll pull your hair and call you fat and that is how you know I like you” to which Kelly responds “I think on Bortus’s planet that is considered foreplay.” But, Moclans don’t have hair and in one scene Bortus is upset that his husband Klyden won’t stop eating. Clearly he doesn’t like weight gain. I realize it is not serious but the inaccuracy bothers me.
