Did anyone else find this week’s episode of ‘#ThePatch’ on #BBC #radio4 particularly nauseating? This woman banging on about how everything is perfect, and they couldn’t possibly admit any poverty or domestic abuse issues because it might damage house prices. And that it’s much harder to be poor in this ‘affluent’ area 🤢. UK #radio programme recommendation: 'The Patch'. Each episode they go talk to people in a random postcode and investigate local stories.

Most recent one I've linked is about a prison; previous was about a US airbase in Norfolk. It's random by definition but the woman who makes it (Polly Weston) is really great and they always find interesting people to talk to. Some stories are surprising but even when not, it's a good listen.
