The Government of #Quebec's Transport #Minister Omar Alghabra announced last week that he has made the difficult decision to expropriate land after the failure of negotiations to purchase the needed properties.

The time when the Feds said "native Americans are legally white," had them put that on birth certs, census, etc was just them separating the tribes from their kin.

Same with "blood minim laws" and DNA tests that can't be accurate because there's not enough first nations DNA unmixed with other DNA to test against. One could match and "prove" relation but a "fail" could also mean nothing because of all the missing genetic markers data.

@witchy lol. I got my nose pierced at 16yrs old back in the mid aughts (wore a stud) and it became a regular conversation starter for people.

I took it out when I was working for #thepeople and put it back in once I was no longer a public rep. And once again...like 15 yrs later...it's still something people talk about. But not younger people...now it's clients ad colleagues who lament having not kept their pearcings in when they started a job and being too afraid to put em back in.

(Already frameworks exist that can replace capitalism and greedy over-consumption and destructive hoarding by a few to the detriment of #ThePlanet. It will likely be lots of regional localized economies, voluntarily and mutually exchanging goods and services as #ThePeople need, with #ThePlanet & #sustainability in mind)
