*The Postscript Murders* by *Elly Griffiths*. Book about a crime writer, written by a crime writer; about as unimaginative as it gets. *Aqua Alta* by *Donna Leone* comes to mind as being in exactly the same mould.

Gently entertaining, but nothing more.
