Hij was het eerste bandlid van de groep die #ChrissieHynde rond zich verzamelt in 1978.
Farndon haalt gitarist James Honeyman-Scott bij de band en James brengt #MartinChambers in de band.
Op 14 juni 1982 wordt hij ontslagen uit de band vanwege zijn drugsgebruik.
Hij richt de band #Samurai op met #TopperHeadon.
Op 14 april 1983 verdrinkt hij in zijn bad na een overdosis.

"Talk of the Town" - #ThePretenders (1980)
TBH I'm not quite sure why this song has stuck with me so closely over the years. Did I hear it at an impressionably young age? Was is because it was on the soundtrack to that evocative, coming-of-age cult film Times Square? Does it have something to do with that addictive hook (Am7 > B7) and #ChrissieHynde's singular vocals? Yes to all of it. Anyway it's a classic I don't ever tire of.
