Started rewatching #TheGoodPlace again, and I can’t believe that I JUST noticed that the doors in Eleanor’s house make the same electronic noise as the automatic doors throughout the Village in the ‘60s show #ThePrisoner . That is a deep cut on the part of sound design!

Back like….20 maybe 30 years ago, PBS here in the Bay Area would air “the prisoner” but they did it in a certain order and had an expert on the series give some incite about the episode, etc…

Anyone know what this order was? Or perhaps has videos of the host describing the episode before they aired it?

In the replies to the original thread, someone mentioned I should watch for a subtle clue in the opening sequence of the last episode (of The Prisoner)(E16, Once Upon a Time), a slight change in the inflection of the monologue:

Who is Number One?

You are, Number Six.

The comma is the addition, suggesting that Number Six is actually Number One. I haven’t gotten there yet to confirm this.

So I’m on the second-to-last episode, there No. 2 is grilling No. 6 using childhood regression techniques. No. 2 is trying to get No. 6 to say “6”, and No. 6 is refusing, saying 5 over and over while No. 2 repeats “6!”

Ah, but then No. 2 changes a bit and says, “6 and 1, 6 and 1,” while No. 6 just keeps saying 5 in resistance.

Yeah. So.
