Modeling update: #Enterprise Deflector Dish Detail and Skill Improvements

This deflector dish was an opportunity to try out some hand-painted detail work. I'm really proud of how it turned out.

Highlighted here is my progression of skill and detail work over time.

1st Broke the antenna, used gray and bronze.

2nd Bent the antenna, used grey, bronze, gold, and silver

3rd Antenna is in good shape, Lotsa detail, varied colors

#TBT to December 2012. I decided (belatedly) to take part in the Sketchbook Project run by the Brooklyn Art Library (based in New York back then). I had to get the book posted back to NY by January and the book didn't reach me until the end of November. I had less than a month to fill the book and send it back. I panicked and filled it with doodles and rough sketches. It was fun but stressful.
