Margareth

Mon adorable Margareth, trouvée sur le site de la SPA, a été choisie avec soin pour sa nature calme et affectueuse pour m'aider à garder la tête hors de l'eau dans les moments creux.

Après 2H de route pour la aller la chercher, elle s'est installée direct dans la voiture, sans demander son reste. Je ne sais pas quelle énergie m'avait poussée ce jour là, mais elle m'a offert le bonheur d'une nouvelle amie, exempte de jugement, que je peux aimer et choyer inconditionnellement après deux années d'isolement en chenil.

Avec patience et l'aide de tuto, je l'ai patiemment éduquée. Aujourd'hui je dois voir un professionnel pour lui faire perdre une très mauvaise habitude, celle d'agresser les petits chiens (cause de son abandon et surtout conséquence d'une éducation négligée et maltraitante).

Je lui ai promis la belle vie, alors on la partage ensemble, chaque jour.

Through tutorials and patience, I educated her, and now seek professional help to address her aggression towards smaller dogs due to past neglect.

Saw a first today. For me anyway. Employee (with non-visible disability) at a national chain retail store had a working dog with them.

Cool that said company is getting a clue. Hard not to though, there are laws, but as we know, they could just as easily make an excuse to not hire or let go.

Not cool that applying for and collecting #disability pay is so difficult. AND we are in the middle of a pandemic and #CovidIsNotOver

End of second week of #MS rehab it’s been much better than I thought it would be. All of the other patients here are hip replacements or stroke people but the physio has lots of MS experience and knowledge. Seen the speech therapist and the #TherapyDog who looked at me like I was s lunatic but gave me sniffs and licks anyway. Home for the weekend but back next week. Great networking really as I live so remotely and don’t go out.
