Hm. I had a user's post show up on my #thereslife home feed whom I knew I hadn't followed. (This is not a problem for me, but a mystery.) How do I find out if the post is there because I've followed a hashtag? I don't see a place in the #MastodonUI to discover my followed #hashtags. I don't find any hashtags in Preferences > Follows and Followers.

My #federatedTimeline is zipping by much faster on my #fosstodon account than it is here at #thereslife Any ideas why?

fosstodon was recently down for maintenance. Maybe they have a message queue they have to catch up with?

I think #thereslife is glitching. It keeps saying there's a update everytime I come on, and I can't see most comments anymore unless they're from me or if it's a notif

#TheresLife had now been updated to the latest version of #GlitchSoc. The most notable new feature is the new language selector. You can now say what language your post is written in, which allows people to filter for languages more easily.

This is particularly useful for accounts that post in multiple languages.

We updated There's Life to use the glitch fork of Mastodon. It includes a few improvements and additional features that should improve the experience.

We experienced a few minutes of downtime in the process, but thanks to @josias and @jwinnie everything is now running smoothly.

The aforementioned administrators are now working on a fork of Mastodon that implements a new "neighborhoods" feature.

#TheresLife currently has one person actively moderator and administrating the instance. We used to have another moderator until recently, but for the last few months one person has been reviewing applications, monitoring the federated timeline, and managing the server. Unfortunately, some things have slipped through the cracks.

So we're looking for another member of the There's Life community to help moderate the instance.

This would involve:
- Reviewing registration applications (simply filtering out spam requests)
- Monitoring the federated timeline (deleting offensive posts and muting users if necessary)
- Resolving reports (which are generally few)
