I do not understand why people come crawling back to defend bad #StarWars movies, based on canon that was created after the movie. The Star Wars prequels were kind of bad. The fact that you justifiably love #CloneWars doesn't make them retroactively good. The same very much goes for defenses of #TheRiseOfSkywalker based on books written after the fact or other lore than no one watching the film at the time knew about.

I disliked #HanSolo's death in #TheForceAwakens, but from a story standpoint, as expected of a good father, he was leaving himself completely open to his son. Only his son foolishly decided to kill him, but that action and its consequence were dulled by Solo's reappearance in #TheRiseOfSkywalker.

So #C3PO, who as we all know was built by a hobbyist child slave on Tatooine to help his mom around the house, not only had secret #Sith knowledge built into his very brain, but ALSO had evil red lights installed in his eyes specifically and exclusively to be used when recalling said Sith knowledge? #StarWars #TheRiseOfSkywalker

Watching #TheRiseOfSkywalker five minutes at a time, after listening to #StarWarsMinute tackle a minute each day from last week.
I love #StarWars , really I do, but this movie creates ire in me that knows no bounds. 5 minutes at a time is literally all I can take, and this week, I was ready to be done after one.

It’s fine for people to like this movie, I guess, but don’t tell me you like it and expect me not to look askance at you.
It’s dumb, no redeeming qualities. Not even Han saves it.
