I'd like to make some small parts in #cast #iron, but usually this requires a lot of nasty fossil gas.
But… iron can also be melted with #thermite, a mix easy to make at home (just rusty nails and scraps of alumin[i]um windows).
That would allow me to recycle useless iron parts (like old railway tracks, large mining equipment and so on) to make things I need.
