The Santa Clause is one of my favourite Christmas movies (mainly because I used to watch it as a kid and early Tim Allen reminds me of my dad. And also Elf is number 1 Christmas movie) but I always forget how awful I feel remembering 90s fatphobia.

#TheSantaClause is thematically flawed. It's supposed to be about Scott Calvin embracing faith like in The Polar Express, but it's really about him revising his worldview after being confronted with evidence to the contrary. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Watched tonight - #TheSantaClause 3: The Escape Clause

Not necessarily the WORST movie I’ve seen in a long time, but by far the most unpleasant movie. There’s a nugget of some story somewhere in here buried under all the farting reindeer sounds and Martin Short wackiness - but by the time it gets to the fun-but-too-brief Back to the Future 2 time travel antics, it’s too late.
