If my idea for the final project in the #Strathclyde postgraduate diploma program is accepted, I need to do #genealogy research on 59 men, who were officer in the English Reformed Church in #Amsterdam between 1700 and 1764. I am looking forward to it! Actually, I cannot wait to start... perhaps I can do some preparations during summer break?

No updates for the past several days, as I had some family stuff come up and didn't get much writing done.
Back in the saddle again today. 3 more pages tonight, but up until 1:30am again.
Writing about the MLC@Home: finished introduction, descriptions of the dataset, BOINC server components, Started the client description. Need some more graphs!

No #thesis update today. Under the weather and going to bed early.

Posting from my phone so a short update today.

Up to 99 pages now as I spent way too much time adding a table and creating a figure. Otherwise only minor edits.

But I did read the first few chapters of the Percy Jackson books with my youngest. No regrets. #priorities

Those who know me, know I've been struggling to write my #thesis . I want to get a draft done within the next several weeks, so I'm going to force myself to post here once a day for the next 50 days, with my progress. I hope the act of publicly announcing my progress will force/shame/hold me accountable for making progress.

@cecirahim i'm not sure what we mean for "thesis commitee" here: is it the #thesis tribunal for the defense or some other thing?
If the former, I'd say not all the participants have the same importance (at least in Spain) , so for instance I'd like to know and meet the president of the tribunal but it may be that I don't know the third member. Also, in many instances PhD students don't get to decide who is in the tribunal (I know I won't) so honestly... kind of a false dichotomy 😂😂

My current project is adjusting to not being in "thesis writing mode." I am being patient with myself. I did my paid work this morning. I did a few sewing repairs. I am dusting off my to-read pile. Taking my cues from the pup (snuggle, sleep, eat, play, walk). I wrote my thesis #SlowlySlowlySlowly so I am going to recover slowly. It has been four days since I've submitted so I suspect I might need a few more days to adjust.
