This is an unabashed #TheSlipperAndTheRose appreciation post. Everything, the wit, the #costumes, the #songs (and given I normally run in fear from musicals) Annette Crosby as a pitch perfect Fairy Godmother. It’s even delightfully unproblematic, even without comparison to its contemporaries. Almost progressive - watch a rich guy bitch about his lot before a castle full of servants tell him to check it AND HE LISTENS.

I adore it.
