I finally finished reading #HalJordan's run as #TheSpectre and I'm into #infinitecrisis.
I'm really disappointed with the 180 pulled on Jordan after his Spectre series ended. I thought the whole Spirit of Redemption angle they were going for was novel. His series ends abruptly and all of a sudden, the Logos is fighting back against all the good he did with it, reverting the Spectre to a violent Spirit of Vengeance.

Having returned to it after reading everything that came before, my love and respect for this run have more than redoubled. Its definitely the epitome of #JimCorrigan's stories, if not all Spectre stories.
Now onto uncharted waters (for me, at least) as I continue my comprehensive canonical read-through with #HalJordan and #CrispusAllen's runs.

That said, the way Jim Corrigan treated his old partner, Waylon, when he took on Percival as his new partner just goes to show how much of an ass Jim was.

Then I have to play mental gymnastics to remember and figure out where these errant entries fit into the canonical timelines I established.

I felt it had a strong start with a new status quo for #JimCorrigan and the Spectre but by the time it gets to Cryptica Crimes Limited, I started to check out. Moench just doubled down on the high strangeness and I wasn't vibing with it. And the series ends on a pretty grim note, too.
6/10 as far as Spectre runs go. Onto #JohnOstrander...yay!

I just really like these parts of the DC universe. IDK.

Still making my way through the #DougMoench run of #TheSpectre. I can sort of understand why it's not talked about as much as the #JohnOstrander run, but I still enjoy it.
I like the rapport Moench built up between the Spectre and #MadameXanadu. I'm not a huge fan of the change of #JimCorrigan's personality from previous and subsequent appearances, but I like the story structure of him running a private investigation business.
Overall, not too bad an entry.

Love the status quo change for the character post- #CrisisonInfiniteEarths. Leading up to this series, I could tell from the various series the Spectre appeared in that he had become so impossibly powerful that writers/editors had a difficult time knowing what to do with him.

Additionally, I'd love to see an animated #dccomics JSA movie that adapts both the team's origin story and "The Last Days of the Justice Society of America" in which the JSA is formed by FDR to stop a desperate Hitler from acquiring and using the Spear of Destiny to bring Ragnarok to Earth.
