An absolutely beautiful day spent on Dartmoor yesterday in one of the biggest land justice protests in UK history.

When some would use their wealth to curtail others’ freedom to roam, not only do we risk losing a precious right to connect to the land, and to learn its wonders, but the land risks losing its carers. Its eyes and hearts on the ground.

TFW you get a nice taut pitch sorted. This #tent is asymmetrical which doesn't make it the easiest to get right ! It's a #3FUL #hiker tent, a precursor to their popular #Lanshan range. A tiny single skin tent, best for hot dry weather in the UK, when you can leave the door open to give max ventilation, or there can be a LOT of condensation. At 738g #trail #weight it's far lighter than the #bivi which it replaced!

As a child in the 70s I camped with the Scouts on Dartmoor. We dug latrines & gathered firewood to cook with. We encountered badgers for the first time in our lives, and saw the glory of the Milky Way in a night sky free of light pollution. Succeeding generations have been impoverished by their lack of access to such transformative experiences. #AccessToNature - including responsible wild camping - should be a human right
