Working on my #blackwork and watching Chicago. Give ‘em the ol’ RAZZLE-DAZZLE!

(Can’t share photo of blackwork because it’s the #TheSteadyThread2023SAL stitch-along and the creator let me have the entire year in advance in case I don’t make it to December. So kind of her ❤️)

Here’s how I’ve been occupying my time while sick in bed, when I’m not #knitting:

#Blackwork! I have 11 of the 100 Circles Sampler done, and a good start on the Botanical Stitch-Along. Tomorrow I’ll be able to fill in the first hexagon! (She releases one hex per week, and only one is up so far)

Using two threads for hex outlines, the vine, and the leaf outlines, and one thread for leaf veins and hex designs. #TheSteadyThread2023SAL

@Siniful I’ve just ordered supplies for my #TheSteadyThread2023SAL! I had to take a wild guess at thread amount. Went for 3 skeins of light pine green for the leafy square border and 6 of black for the hexes. Hoping that’s too much rather than not enough! Opted for 14-count aida (natural) because I’m doing 18-count for my 100 circles sampler and my eyes will need a break sometimes.

Boy, supplies for embroidery are a lot less pricey than for knitting and sewing!
