Looked at tickets I've participated in or created at #WordPress Trac over the years. Quite a lot of these are in limbo. Some are older than my kids.

This year I've barely participated in the WordPress community.

I attribute this to a change in work, but also to a lack of WordPress enthusiasm. It feels pointless to me, contributing to an #OpenSource project while contributions are ignored for whatever reasons. Kind of miss the days of the wp-hackers mailinglist.

heh.. there was an article on our intranet recently from the "Young [XXX] Network" that literally said "Sorry boomer* this is not for you" with at the bottom (*=35y and older).
I contacted HR about inclusivity and discrimination by age... never got a reply... :(

Corporations suck. Why is it that all synergies won't solve my colleague's problem, and I have to say no due to a) workload and b) it being the f-ing synergies' responsibility to solve it?
And here I am.. feeling bad for saying no to a very well appreciated colleague.

If your open source is doing undocumented magic behind the scenes, that someone needs to to reverse engineer to be able to contribute something new.. then you're scaring ppl away. Might as well say straight that you don't like contributions instead of "extensible through plugins"
