At least a couple of actors bailed out after reading a version of the script, preferred to starve we have to assume, and the script had to be rewritten again. That gave Chekhov some smooches, despite that thing swallowing his head.

But I can fulfill my role here as informal historian and one who watched the originals in prime time. Cults like the one represented (badly) here were a real problem, so viewers would have had a particular serious POV based on their life experience. Unfortunately, every possible opportunity to address important issues was lost on the way to Eden. 😭
