I watched this on a whim and I'm glad I did. It's not exactly reinventing the wheel, but it's a very well executed gothic horror that really delivers on the scares, and, while it might be the sort of story we've seen told before, there's this cold, hard, unrelenting darkness to it that really makes it fly.
Watching #TheWomanInBlack. And it seems that Harry Potter is working for Endeavor Morses boss, and staying at a hotel run by one of Gentleman Jacks opponents.
I probably need to watch less.
Finally got round to watching #TheWomanInBlack and enjoyed it well enough; it was beautiful to look at, reminded me of classic Hammer films somehow, and #DanielRadcliffe was better than expected (love him to bits and he seems such a Nice Young Man, but not the most naturally gifted actor). Overall though I found it bleak rather than scary.

It contains perhaps the greatest scare in British TV horror history (followed immediately by a well-timed ad break) and one of the grimmest endings. #OnThisDay
in 1989, ITV premiered #HerbertWise's bone-chilling #TheWomaninBlack, superbly adapted by #NigelKneale from #SusanHill's M.R. James-inspired 1983 book and with Adrian Pasdar great as the haunted, doomed (and renamed) Arthur Kidd.

Did you know yesterday was the 35th anniversary of the world premiere of #TheWomanInBlack at our former Westwood home? 💫
The production was ingeniously adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt and directed by Robin Herford, starring Dominic Letts and Jon Strickland.
I’m curious what’s the scariest #Horror movie you’ve seen?
For me, I think it might be #TheRing. I remember refusing to watch the actual video from the movie in the DVD extras because I was expecting a phone call at any moment. I was quite sure that if my phone rang at just the right time, that it could possibly kill me on the spot. 😂
Runners up are #TheWomanInBlack (2012) and #TheChangeling (1980).
