And now, some favorite things I remember to this day about #TheXFiles:

1. It is one of two shows that dropped a plot bomb on me that shocked me for a full twenty minutes or so. The other one was Babylon 5.

2. I had a Windows X-Files theme where my startup noise was Skinner going "As of right now we're reopening the X-Files!" And the shutdown noise was Mulder saying dolefully, "They're shutting us down, Scully."

The X-Files was my first real love affair with a television show and my heart will always carry that.

The X-Files was the first show which sent me to the internet and involved me in an active fandom. It was the first show where I knew the episode names, where I read or sometimes avoided spoilers, where I downloaded audio cips to my computer, where I read fan fiction.

I could be found every Monday on alt.tv.x-files reading up on what everyone thought of the episode, sharing the moments of UST we had seen the night before, and trying to deduce what was coming next.

Ce qui m’étonne avec #TheXFiles, c’est que personne, durant les 7 premières saisons, n’a eu l’air d’avoir l’idée d’un épisode « What If » avec Samantha en lieu et place de Mulder.

De voir ce qu’elle aurait fait/vécu avec l’enlèvement de son frère, etc…
