I’m curious to understand how French presents as a diminutive in my brain, e.g. preference to be called “Theo” in the public and professional arena but then preferring to be called “Théo” with friends, etc. Somewhat obvious answers arise, but then the idiosyncratic takes the wheel.

Because I am the way I am, I’ve printed all of the paperwork for my new government records, and I’ve realized I can’t yet sign the documents because I don’t haven’t practiced my new signature.

(Two things: Super glad I’ve never had stationary, etc. printed. Also, pretty cool I can accurately pen “writer” as my occupation for my new passport. Little Théo would be proud af. Present day Théo is also stoked.)
