This tree definitely qualifies in a number of areas #thicktrunk - there seems to be some confusion if that is for Tuesday or Thursday - there is also a lot of #Mosstodon
I think it is a cottonwood and it is currently providing very welcome shade in Quilchena Park. Which is why the rest of the park is "burned out" of the picture

PG&E came to cut the three Ponderosa Pines they marked last year. Biggest tree left us 18 six foot sections plus the crown - that's about 120 feet tall! π€―

An old oak trunk with a hollow. DΔ b Kobendzy, the Professor's Roman Kobendza Oak (Quercus robur), photographed in early spring. This tree is considered to be the oldest in Kampinos National Park; its estimated age exceeds 330 years. It grows in the Krzywa GΓ³ra strict nature reserve area. Masovian Voivodeship, Poland.

This was taken at Big Basin Redwoods State Park in #California back in 2015.
Lived in CA for 18 years before I finally visited some #redwoods (niece was visiting).
#BigBasin is a great park to stop at if one is making the drive up #PCH. Lots of trails and campsites (we just did a short trail)
