I like those games that look like old 2d pre-rendered games, but actually are 3d modern graphics 😍

I had an amazing meal last night at Arzola’s, a new-ish restaurant, with my wife & youngest daughter. The steak fajita was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time.

Another very different video game that I downloaded for the Switch this morning is a retro (N64 Era) platformer called Super Kiwi 64. I’ve played it for an hour and am maybe 1/2 way through and am having a blast. It’s only $3. Check it out.

Blaseball, an absurdist minimalist horror simulation of the game Baseball. The game itself is neat, but the community on discord provides a ton of value. I’m a fan of the Mexico City Wild Wings.
The game was built and became popular early in the pandemic and is back and revamped after a year plus off. Seasons last 1 week and the season 2 playoffs conclude today. Check it out: https://www.blaseball.com

This is a Things I Like thread, where I hope to post about things I’m currently enjoying (big and small). #thingsilike
Well, that's just over a week since I signed up on Mastodon. Here's how it's going:
#ThingsILike - Editing posts. Advanced mode. Slow mode. Following hashtags. Content warnings. Translate. All the interesting new peeps I've followed and who have followed me. It's a much happier place.
#ThingsIWouldLikeToSee - Indicators beside names in the feeds so you know that you're following someone. A pop-up at the top of the column to refresh new items so I don't have to scroll all the way back up.

@Dr_X search hashtags of things you like or want to see others talking about. And use hashtags in your posts, people can use those hashtags to find you.

Today on #ThingsILike:
When websites whose content is almost entirely textual have a text-only version.
https://lite.cnn.io and https://text.npr.org first come to mind. I wish Wikipedia had such an option as well, especially since they took down their dumbphone interface.
Today on #ThingsILike:
When PC games recognise the Pause/Break key.
I remember that Escape would bring up the game menu and Pause would simply pause the game in Microsoft Studios games.
