Charlie Gillet on Sunday evening BBC, recorded on stereo VHS 120s using the timer. My VHS machine had a mode for recording external audio (no video) which was an FM tuner. I still have dozens of the tapes and the machine.

#thingsweusedtodobutdontnow it's actually something I still do whenever possible, despite how hostile every payment structure has become towards it- write paper checks.
I like the certainty of handing over cash or a facsimile. Checks are basically custom denomination bank currency and there is something timeless about writing and mailing a check.
