#mechanicalkeyboard builders I'm currently using a pico on my handwired TKL board with an ssd3306 oled display. It's running on #KMK but it doesn't like allowing me into my BIOS like a manufactured board. It's a known issue with KMK and #ThinkPads .
If I made up another pico and installed #QMK will this work without issue allowing me to enter the BIOS ????

#antiX is amazing for old #ThinkPads, especially if you don't have much ram. I'm running a Thinkpad t43 with1GB and it's kind of shockingly useable. SeaMonkeys is an amazing browser. I've never had a one handle the modern web this well on these. AND, the system freaking idles at 83MB memory usage 🤤😳😅

Things about a year and a half away from making it through 20 years of service, and it's still useable. Kind of insane, really.

Ansonsten einfach den WLAN-Chip rausnehmen / deinstallieren und stattdessen ne USB-Dongle nutzen...

Also die #Thinkpads haben ja an sich eine gute Qualität, aber die Netzteile sind grausig.
Bin mittlerweile bei Nummer 3 in 5 Jahren...

I actually run #Debian on my #X230 and #T420 ThinkPads and on my #E73 #ThinkCentre workstation :P

I ran #Arch from 2006 to 2009 I think, and then on and off until settling with Debian around 2012 I think.

Had a #MacBook Pro Mid 2010 before the #ThinkPads. Ran #Mandriva and then Debian on it.

Looks like #PCMCIA drivers are next in the "crusty code" firing line in the latest linux kernels going forward
