Chainsaw artist Simon O’Rourke had a better idea for the tallest #tree in #Wales damaged by a storm. Slated to be cut down, Simon created this striking work of art to memorialize the struggle for life. #ThinkTrunkTuesday

I know about Hump Wednesday, and Throwback Thursday, and even thought Tequila Tuesday went nicely with Taco Tuesday, but what is Thick Trunk Tuesday? Feeling sexy when I was younger drinking tequila with a taco sounds a whole lot more fun than having a thick trunk! Well, I guess it depends on the trunk. LOL. #ThinkTrunkTuesday

Went out of my way today to see a West Australia Christmas Tree (Nuytsia floribunda) blooming. These trees are usually a fairly typical green, except for December when they suddenly explode in a riot of orange. They absolutely swarm with insects too!

Despite being a stand alone tree, these guys are actually the world's largest Mistletoe. Their roots spread out over a large area, wrap around other tree's roots, and then cut into them to extract nutrients.
