Reasons why #meta isn't "there" just yet - in my book :
- focus on VR at the expense of AR - there's a good chance the #metaverse will act more as a digital layer over the physical world, or a #thinplaces where the digital and physical meet ; at least that's where #Apple or #epic see it headed;
- replication of the ad-based model that worked so well in #web2 . For all the hype and hyperbole around #web3 - maybe there's something there and new business models are needed
