Women have always played football. However, FIFA did not allow a woman to even speak at the FIFA Congress until 1986, and did not organise a women's world cup until 1991. Women's football was only made an Olympic sport in 1996.

One of the fun things about my relationship is being the only person in the household (and the entire family, tbh) to be trusted with power tools and their associated bits and pieces.

Managed to sneak in a mile today between a hectic day, physio went well, had some laser and I'm cleared to start building up the running slowly so that's good news!

Still have to keep up with the posterior chain strengthening as that's still a weakness, especially on the left side due to the wonky ankle.

Managed to jog/run/jog and it felt hard but manageable, so that's good!

1 mile run/walk/run focusing on form, technique and cadence in the run sections.

Hoping the focus on technique rather than just keeping going at all costs will stand me in good stead going forward into my next ultra training program starting in January!

My manager called me for debrief on way to car. I got distracted and chatted with key in ignition but not turned on. Silly me. Flat battery. BUT I have jump leads and know how to use them.

However... The first FOUR people I asked to help did not know how to jump start a car. No problem said I! #ThisGirlCan etc... HOWEVER those same four people also DID NOT KNOW HOW TO OPEN THEIR BONNET.

Luckily 5th person did. I am now at Sainsbury's and I WILL be buying wine.

What an inspiring evening, met some of the #ThisGirlCanSuffolk ambassadors for the first time in 3D as many of us joined before or during the pandemic and have only connected on Facebook groups.

Celebrated some amazing nominees and winners, heard some incredible stories of courage, tenacity and commitment.
