It’s great when people use hashtags and alt text for images.

For even better accessibility, particularly for the visually-impaired relying on a screenreader, it’d be lovely if more of us could use #camelCase or #PascalCase in multiple-word hashtags.

Screenreaders read the words in camel or Pascal Case separately, not as a long—possibly incomprehensible—word.

The only difference is #camelCase has the 1st letter of the 1st word in lowercase, but either works!

Looks like a whole bunch more folks have joined the #TwitterMigration -- welcome! It's nice here! I'll follow this post by boosting a bunch of advice for newbies. My personal appeals, please:

Use Pascal case in hashtags so screen readers parse them correctly. #ThisIsPascalCase #thisisnotpascalcase

Put alt-text on your pics! (I only boost pics with alt-text, and I know a lot of other folks do too.)

Last: I found Twitter confusing at first too, so don't worry if it takes a bit to get comfy!
