Today we get to celebrate wildland firefighter badassery, the Thorpe fire was reported at 8:30am, ballooned to 12 acres, and by 12:30pm it was 50% encircled by HAND DUG fire lines. It’s grueling work in challenging terrain, and now, the fire is stopped.
