The COVID-19 pandemic radically altered the way many people & organizations feel about the potential for remote work. Some people say, "Now we'll never do in-person meetings again", but that's simply not the case.

In this talk, Rebecca Parsons describes the transition that made to remote working initially, and how they look today at the value of remote, hybrid, and in-office work: bit.ly/44jTBUC

Please, please add a date to things you publish on the internet. Looking at you again, technology radar ... I have no clue how dated your information is, if you don't put a date on it. Yes, also the PDF that I will download and archive on my disk.

Today we had our last session on the last chapter of @davefarley77's book "modern software engineering" in the at @turbinekreuzberg.
It was the first bookclub in years and we were lucky to have picked this book for it!

Our resume: This book broadened our understanding of our day to day practices like and put it into the context of a lifetime experience as a developer. What stood out the most to us was the chapter on feedback. How the quality of feedback influences what we can achieve and how we can achieve high quality feedback.

Application and Cloud Security for Developers
meetup.com/devops-stuttgart/ev

How can developers secure their (cloud-native) applications while maintaining a good development momentum? Obviously you want to make sure that you won't get compromised when launching your application, but security also shouldn't get in the way of innovation. What do terms like DevSecOps, "Shift-Left", CVE and CWE mean, and how do you actually test applications for security vulnerabilities practically - and even more importantly - fix them? Hint: static code analysis (SAST), software composition analysis (SCA), dynamic application security testing (DAST) are some valid approaches. What are these OWASP Top10 that everybody is talking about? This talk addresses software developers who always wanted to learn about application and cloud security in a nutshell but were always too busy writing business logic.

greetings all, I'm a Berlin-based Italian/Australian from Sydney who arrived in Berlin to finish a doctoral research project 10 years ago and never left.

Currently I'm working as a Senior Software Engineer at , an open source DevOps platform, after stints at , , and . I owe my career to the awesome humans of the Berlin ruby community, and to all my colleagues along the way.

I like taking photos, reading books, and watching TV.
