I had forgotten how much of a pain it is to sew a lacy piece of crochet into a fabric that can fray….not using any fray-stopping liquid…yet.

I guess that a quarter of a century may be enough time to forget such things.

I haven't shared a project progress report in awhile. I admit this is just an exercise in vanity. The "top expert" designation challenged me.

I've run out of thread (one of the butterflies isn't finished and I have all the attachment/fill work to do) so this has to be set aside until more thread arrives.

I used to crochet quite a bit with thread - even won a ribbon at the NM state fair. I'm enjoying getting back into it.

(3/?) This is something else from the same timeframe which involves a little bit of #threadCrochet. Definitely not so plain as there are sequins involved.

(2/?) Here is another bit of #threadCrochet…I actually fit in that dress back when I made it…more than two decades ago 😊.

I pretty much started crocheting thread so that I could colour-match lace to fabric…and my taste in lace didn’t really fit well with what I could easily find in stores.
