Just picked up my copy of Thrifty Kitchen today, the most recent recipe book from Jack Monroe.
For all her controversies, and her ability to be a lightning rod distracting from others trying to achieve similar goals, I REALLY like Jack Monroe. Most people are a mix of bad and good, and I think their good far outweighs the bad. I wish she'd discover the more pleasant space of Mastodon after being so busy for so long on Twitter.

Lovely surprise in the post, I’d pre-ordered a copy of #ThriftyKitchen by Jack Monroe - absolutely full of great tips - I especially like the ones about re-using common household waste, food substitutes, and clever workarounds when you don’t have certain equipment. Highly recommend as a gift for yourself or anyone looking to keep costs down and be more sustainable.
